The "quick setup" view presented to users after they first create an event allows to set up the most critical parts of an event in just a few clicks. This view did not properly check that the user has permission to change configuration for the given event. An attacker could use a well-timed request to create products, quotas, set bank transfer configuration, or connect a stripe account to an event they do not have access to.
CVE-2026-18028
This low-severity CVE scores 2.3 under a secondary CVSS source (NVD's own analysis pending). EPSS exploit-prediction score not yet available (the EPSS model rescores nightly; freshly-published CVEs typically appear within 48 hours). GitHub Security Advisory data not yet ingested — confidence will rise once GHSA publishes (typical lag: hours to days for open-source ecosystem CVEs; never for infrastructure-only CVEs).
- Lower severity and no public exploit yet
No vendor fix yet — apply a workaround or compensating control (WAF / firewall / segmentation) and watch for a patch.
